Amazon’s color Kindles finally get their long-overdue dark mode
Amazon has begun rolling out a system-wide dark mode for its Kindle Colorsoft and Kindle Colorsoft Scribe devices, a feature long requested by users and previously available only on monochrome Kindle models. The update allows users to apply dark mode selectively across the device's interface and reading screens, enhancing readability in low-light conditions. Alongside dark mode, Amazon is introducing Smart Shapes, a new note-taking feature that automatically refines hand-drawn shapes into clean geometric forms. The rollout will be completed over the next few weeks.
