Members of the Akka Pade women’s protection task force prevented a child marriage in Belagavi district, in Karnataka, a few days ago.During routine patrolling, an officer noticed marriage preparations in front of a house. Inquiry revealed that a 17-year-old girl was being married to a groom from Maharashtra.A team led by Circle Inspector Dilip Nimbalkar registered a case against the family.
