Hundreds of top holders of the $TRUMP meme coin attended a luncheon at Mar-a-Lago hosted by Donald Trump, receiving watches and a rambling speech, but the coin's price plummeted to near its all-time low shortly after the event. The gathering, part of a loosely themed crypto conference, drew criticism for offering little substance despite higher production quality than last year's event. Attendees, many of whom were foreign investors, appeared more focused on access than policy, though Trump's post-event comments showed little engagement with crypto issues. The coin, launched days before Trump’s inauguration, has lost about 96% of its peak market value.
