A 28-year-old man was electrocuted in a godown in Madhavaram on Tuesday. The city police said S. Sathish, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, had been working in a private cosmetics product company in Madhavaram for more than two years. The company also has a warehouse complex near the Madhavaram roundabout.On Tuesday, as Sathish was unloading goods from a truck, a high-tension overhead power cable suddenly snapped and fell on him. The co-workers at the factory immediately rescued him and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced brought-dead. The Madhavaram Police, on being alerted, sent the body to the Government Stanley Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.
